After Pulwama Attack, Kangana Urges PM Modi to Scrap Section 370
“After so many yrs of Independence, no state in India should face confusion as to where they belong,” she said.
In light of the deadly Pulawama attacks where 40 CRPF jawans were killed, Manikarnika actress Kangana Ranaut urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to scrap Section 370 - which grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir and also puts limitations on the Parliament for making laws concerning the state.
In an interview with National Reporter, she said: “Our anger is justified. We should use this time to do something constructive. And it is my sincere request to our prime minister that Article 370 should be completely scrapped. I feel that after so many years of Independence, no state in our country should face confusion as to where they belong.”
She also said that it was imperative for the country to come together in trying times such as this, and do something “constructive”.
Referring to the AICWA ban on working with Pakistani artists and talent of any kind, Kangana said that while people of Pakistan love Bollywood films and stars, it is equally important to draw a line of sorts.
“People in Pakistan love our films and love us but somewhere we need to draw the line. There is a religion for everything, war also has its own religion. In this, we are with our country. And the people of Pakistan should be inspired. They are with their country and we are with ours. There are no two ways about it. We are with our soldiers, our government and our soil.”Kangana Ranaut to National Reporter
She also said: "There should be no conflict. If families of the soldiers are hurt then why should we entertain Pakistani artists? Emotions of the families are most important right now."
