Air travel may have its own perks, but it can be equally stressful. It seems that singer Aditya Narayan’s flight back to Mumbai was turbulent, even before he got on to the plane.

While getting on his flight, he got into a verbal argument with an Indigo employee. The cause of this altercation is being attributed to the fact that he was asked to pay for extra baggage.

The video shows that Aditya Narayan went off at the airline employee, threatening him with strong words. This event occurred at the Raipur airport.

Indigo airline released a statement about the order of events that led to the altercation. Aditya Narayan and his entourage was carrying excess baggage of 40 kgs and when the baggage fee totaled to Rs 13,000, the singer refused to pay anything more than Rs 10,000 and started hurling abuses at the female Indigo airline employee, and pointed a finger at the Duty Manager. As seen in the video, Aditya Narayan continued to rage on. According to the statement, after he was informed that he will not be allowed to travel, he apologised to the ground staff, and was given his boarding pass.

Today on 6E-258 (Raipur-Mumbai), Aditya Narayan, traveling with a group of 5 people, was carrying excess baggage of 40 kg. Amount to be paid for carriage of excess baggage came to 13000 INR. He refused to pay this amount to the female check in staff member. He said he will not pay more than 10000 INR for the excess baggage and also used unparliamentary language with the female staff member. While making a video, he pointed a finger at the Duty Manager and again used profanity. When politely asked to be civil and not use such language, he started shouting even louder and used abusive words. Informed that if he continues to misbehave he won’t be allowed to travel. He apologised to ground staff and was given boarding cards.
