Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyan is set to premier at TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival 2018) as Husband Material ahead of its release in India on 21 September. When he took to Twitter to make an announcement, he was derided for casting Abhishek Bachchan. Kashyap was ridiculed for picking a star and said troll went on to ask him if he was suffering from the ‘KJO’ syndrome.

Abhishek Bachchan, who has a reputation to be badass in his replies to trolls jumped into the fray. In his inimitable, self-deprecating style, he tweeted, “@anuragkashyap72 yay, he called me a film star!!!” This didn’t end here. The persistent netizen went on to mock them. He tweeted “I meant ‘son of film star’. K Jo ke friend circle me aane se choices bhi K Jo type ho gayi hai... Ranbeer, Ab ..”

Abhishek Bachchan then quipped, "Oh… You “meant”… Chalo, I’ll consider it a Freudian slip. ..And BTW @TusshKapoor would be a great choice.”
