Aamir Khan took to Instagram to wish his daughter Ira on her 21st birthday. He shared an adorable picture of the two from 2005. A litte Ira can be seen in traditional clothes with Aamir sporting his long-haired, moustachioed look from his film Mangal Pandey: The Rising.
“Happy 21st @khan.ira !!! Can't believe you got there so fast! You will always remain 6 for me! Love you. Papa,” he wrote.
Aamir had earlier responded to speculation that Ira would follow in his footsteps and make her Bollywood debut by saying, “I'm not quite sure what she has in mind but I suspect that she likes the world of cinema and filmmaking. So maybe that's where she would want to go, I don't know.”
The actor was last seen in Thugs of Hindostan, which failed at the box office. He recently announced his latest project Laal Singh Chaddha, a remake of 1994 Hollywood film Forrest Gump. The film will be directed by Advait Chandan, who earlier directed Aamir in the film Secret Superstar, and the script has been penned by actor-writer Atul Kulkarni. It is being produced by Aamir Khan Productions and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and is expected to release on Christmas 2020.
