A division bench of the Aurangabad bench of the Bombay High Court has found that prima facie, there’s a case of contempt against the upcoming Akshay Kumar-starrer Jolly LLB 2. The bench, headed by Justice VM Kanade, has ordered a three-member committee to review the film to see if a case of contempt can be made.
According to Live Law, the bench was hearing a writ petition filed by Advocate Ajay Waghmare.
Waghmare sought to remove ‘LLB’ from the title of the film because it is “a deliberate attempt to malign the judiciary”. He also claimed that scenes in the film attempt to tarnish the image and reputation of judges who “dispense justice as a sacred duty”. Now the petition has been ordered to be converted into a Public Interest Litigation and a three-member committee has been formed to review the film.

However, what’s really surprising is the fact that history is repeating itself. A similar petition had been filed by lawyers from Meerut in 2013 for Jolly LLB. The Supreme Court had very rightly dismissed the petition then.
Don’t watch Jolly LLB if it offends you... These things happen in movies. They show Bombay High Court’s door and gate and then show something else happening inside. These are all fictitious things.Supreme Court on Jolly LLB petition
