According to a report in a daily newspaper, character actor Mahesh Manjrekar’s daughter Saiee Manjrekar is set to make her Bollywood debut opposite none other than Salman Khan in his upcoming sequel Dabangg 3.
The third entry in Salman’s popular cop franchise will focus on Chulbul Pandey’s past and a major part of the film will flashback to a younger Chulbul. Salman will be seen in a younger avatar as the film recounts how a neighbourhood lout ends up becoming a policeman with a heart of gold. It is in this section that Saiee will feature as a love interest for Chulbul. Sonakshi Sinha will be back as Rajjo, Chulbul’s wife in present day.
Mahesh is a good friend of Salman’s and even played the part of Rajjo’s father in the first Dabangg. Saiee’s character will mainly feature in the prequel portions of Dabangg 3 but the present day plot will connect back to her. Saiee has reportedly shot her part in the film which also includes a song picturized on her and Salman.
The cast of Dabangg 3 also includes Kannada Sudeep as the main villain. The film is directed by Prabhudeva and will release in theatres on Christmas this year.
