After a successful run in 2018 with varied roles in films such as Sanju, Manmarziyaan and Uri: The Surgical Strike, Vicky Kaushal is set to try his hand at horror. Mumbai Mirror reports that the actor has been filming in Mumbai for an untitled horror movie that is being directed by Bhanu Pratap Singh, who has worked as an assistant director with Dhadak’s Shashank Khaitan. According to the publication, Bhumi Pednekar will also have an extended cameo in the film.
The film is purportedly set in a ship that has been abandoned on the shore. It is being produced on a tight budget and will rely on innovative cinematography rather than extensive VFX, says a source quoted by the publication.
The film is expected to release in the second half of 2020.
