The trailer of one of the most anticipated films in recent times - Baahubali 2 The Conclusion, was officially scheduled to release at a mega event in Mumbai on 16 March at 5pm. The biggies from the epic - Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and Anushka Shetty along with director SS Rajamouli and Karan Johar were to give the media a first look at the trailer at Fun Cinemas in Andheri, following which, the trailer was to be released online.

However, the much-awaited trailer was reportedly leaked online late night on Wednesday. According to sources, the leak has been traced to one of the southern outfits because it was a Malayalam version of the trailer which made its way online. It’s suspected that someone hacked into the the production team’s system and caused the damage.

When reports of the leak reached the makers, it was unanimously decided to advance the official release of the trailer, which was done by 9 am on Thursday.

The scheduled event to ‘officially launch’ the trailer in Mumbai with the stars of Baahubali 2 will carry on as planned. The team will also be looking into how the trailer leak happened to avoid any such mishaps in future.
