1. Nawazuddin’s ‘McMafia’ Wins Int’l Emmy; No Luck for ‘Sacred Games’

The popular Netflix series Sacred Games and original film Lust Stories drew a blank at the International Emmys held in New York on Monday night. Both Sacred Games and Lust Stories were nominated at the awards in the Best Drama Series and Best TV Movie / Mini-Series categories respectively. Actor Radhika Apte, who was nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Series, also lost out in the awards race.

The Best Drama series was won by the British show McMafia, and it also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and the actor was clicked accepting the award with the other cast members.

2. Vijay Sethupathi Confirms Being a Part of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’

Since the announcement of Laal Singh Chaddha, the movie has created quite a lot of buzz. Starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles, is a Hindi remake of the hugely popular Hollywood film Forrest Gump. Now, in an interview with Film Companion, Manoj Bajpayee confirmed that Vijay Sethupathi will be starring in Laal Singh Chaddha.

In a recent chat show, Anupama Chopra had Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Manoj Bajpayee, Ayushmann Khurrana, Vijay Sethupathi, Vijay Devarakonda and Parvathy Thiruvothu discuss various topics including actors’ acting processes, their inspirations, changing times etc.

26 November 2019 marks 11 years since the 2008 terrorist attacks on Mumbai. Over 164 people were killed and 308 were wounded. Bollywood celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Arjun Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana and Anushka Sharma took to Twitter to mourn the martyrs and victims of the attacks.

4. Sound Editor Nimish Pilankar Passes Away at 29, Akshay Mourns Loss

Housefull 4 and Race 3 sound editor Nimish Pilankar passed away on Monday, 26 November. He was only 29 years old. According to reports, Nimish suffered from high blood pressure, which resulted in brain hemorrhage.

Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to mourn the death of the sound editor. “ Very sad to learn about the passing away of Nimish Pilankar, that too at such a young age. My heart goes out to his family at this difficult time,” he wrote.

5. Jennifer Winget’s Maya Back with a Vengeance in ‘Beyhadh 2’ Promo

Jennifer Winget’s Beyhadh garnered a lot of attention with her portrayal of Maya in the show that aired from 2016-2017. The Sony TV show has been renewed for another season, with Kushal Tandon being replaced by Shivin Narang and Ashish Chaudhary.

A new promo has dropped, which shows Maya speaking about revenge.

The clip begins with Jennifer Winget telling Ashish Chaudhary to only dream what is achievable. Ashish speaks about hating someone, and Maya is shown returning in her evil form. She targets MJ’s family, and we are shown some clips from the first season.
