The trailer for much-awaited The Sky is Pink has finally dropped. The film stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Farhan Akhtar, and Zaira Wasim. It is helmed by Shonali Bose. The film also marks Priyanka’s return to Bollywood after Bajirao Mastani in 2015.Catch the trailer here:The trailer opens with Zaira aka Aisha Chaudhary narrating the story of her parents, Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar. We get a glimpse into their love story and Aisha’s birth. Tragedy strikes when Aisha is diagnosed with a critical lung disorder. Then begins the fight against odds. The film is essentially a celebration of love and life.The film is based on the true story of author and motivational speaker Ayesha Chaudhary. Director Shonali Bose said in a statement, “The Sky is Pink is a deeply personal story and I’m so excited to share it with everyone.”Calling it a film of love and hope, Priyanka Chopra said, “The Sky Is Pink is a story I think will resonate with everyone at some level. We have all faced loss at some point in life and this movie shows us how to celebrate the life of your loved one, instead of mourning their death.”The Sky is Pink recently had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. It is also going to have its European premiere at the BFI London Film Festival in October.“It’s an honour for us to have our European Premiere at the BFI London Film Festival. The city of London plays a significant part in the timeline of the film. In fact, we even shot some portions of the film here so that makes it even more special.
