Nawazuddin Siddiqui-starrer Thackeray, based on the life and times of Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray, has got a release date. The makers shared that the film will hit the screens on 23 January 2019, commemorating Balasaheb's birth anniversary.

The multi-lingual film is directed by Abhijit Panse and produced by Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut along with Carnival Motion Pictures. Check out Nawaz’s look as Bal Thackeray:

Nawazuddin had earlier said that he would be putting in as much effort to depict Bal Thackeray on screen as he would for other roles - especially the other biopic he’s working on, Manto.

My job is to act. So whatever character I get, I will play that with all my acuity. I will play the role of Balasaheb Thackeray with the same intensity that I had while playing Manto.
