After tying the knot on 8 May, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja marked the beginning of their journey as husband and wife by cutting a gorgeous cake baked by renowned pâtissier and a close friend of Sonam, Pooja Dhingra.
Aside from its visible deliciousness, what makes the cake special is its adorable topper. The cake topper shows Sonam dragging her beau Anand out of a basket ball rink.
If you have been following Sonam and Anand’s extremely clandestine yet uber-adorable relationship over the years, you probably know that Anand loves basketball.
Like really, truly loves the game.
Basketball might as well be called Anand’s second love, after Sonam of course.
The topper of the couple’s wedding cake is Sonam’s way of telling Anand that his priorities need to change, now that he is officially a husband and that he needs to spend less time in the rink.
