Sanya Malhotra Lauded as Talent to Watch at Berlinale

The actor co-stars with Nawazuddin Siddiqui in ‘Photograph’.

Sanya Malhotra has been named by The Hollywood Reporter as one of the “5 talents to watch at the Berlinale”. The Badhaai Ho actor co-stars alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Ritesh Batra directorial Photograph which will be screened at the Berlin International Film Festival.

According to the publication, Sanya’s performance as a stranger who is convinced by a struggling photographer to pose as his fiancee may “be her chance to cross over internationally”.

Photograph premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and will hit theatres on 8 March. According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Caryn James, “for anyone who appreciates his (director Ritesh Batra) understated style, Photograph is a satisfying, unswoony romance”.
