Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s chemistry on screen and off screen has bowled us over as much as their acting talent. After almost six years of dating, the power couple decided to tie the knot on 15 November last year and the internet hasn’t stopped gushing over their endearing pictures ever since. From intense Instagram PDA to setting the dance floor on fire at other weddings, here’s a look at DeepVeer’s cutest moments since they got married!
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding took place on 14 and 15 November 2018 at Villa Del Balbianello at Lake Como in Italy. They were wed in two ceremonies – a traditional Chitrapur Saraswat-style one followed by a Sindhi Anand Karaj one on the second day.
DeepVeer twinned in pink as they landed in India as newly weds. The couple, who had kept their wedding away from the prying eyes of paps, were greeted by the media eager to snap photos of the married couple.
The couple hosted a star-studded reception for Bollywood in Mumbai. Deepika wore a Zuhair Murad blood-red thigh-high slit, embellished gown, cinched with a belt and adorned with a sequinned veil for the celebration, Ranveer wore a black tuxedo by designer-duo Rohit Gandhi Rahul Khanna. Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Katrina Kaif, Jahnvi Kapoor, Karishma Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora were among those spotted on the red carpet.
One of DeepVeer’s first outings as a married couple was to celebrate another wedding. Ranveer was dressed in a black bandhgala and Deepika wore a zardosi lehenga by Sabyasachi Mukherjee at Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ wedding reception in Mumbai. The newlywed stole hearts when they set the dance floor on fire!
The couple also made an appearance at Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal’s wedding celebrations. The two greeted the media smiling and holding hands, and looked very much in love.
Deepika kissed Ranveer on the cheek after he won the 2019 Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor for his role of Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat. The couple were seated next to Deepika’s ex beau Ranbir Kapoor and rumoured girlfriend Alia Bhatt during the show.
The couple made a grand entrance on the red carpet and burned the dance floor with their moves at comedian Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath’s wedding reception last year. Ranveer even serenaded Deepika to ‘Subah Hone Na De’ among other songs.
Ranveer presented Deepika with the award for Best Actress for her performance in Padmaavat at the Zee Cine Awards 2019. As she walked down the stage with her trophy, he took hold of her gown so she wouldn’t trip.
The couple won the 'Beautiful Couple of the Year' Award at the Femina Beauty Awards 2019 along with the respective titles of 'Man Of The Year' and 'Woman Of The Year’. Deepika and Ranveer had a fun photoshoot ahead of the event.
In March 2019, Ranveer took to Instagram to share pictures of himself admiring his wife's wax statue at Madame Tussauds in London. “DP 2.0! Original toh mere paas hai! ;) (The original is with me) #twomuchtohandle,” his caption read.
One of our favourite DeepVeer moments is a candid family snapshot that Deepika posted on her Instagram. It shows Ranveer pulling a grinning Deepika and her professional golfer sister Anisha Padukone into a tight hug. “Cuddles & snuggles! smashed in the middle! @ranveersingh @anishapadukone.” read the caption.
Ranveer and Deepika were spotted in eccentric outfits at the IIFA Awards 2019. He was decked out like a modern warrior in a grey suit and a cane, while Deepika wore a mauve gown with a veil. The couple were photographed sharing a few laughs together and, of course, Ranveer planted a kiss on Deepika before collecting his Best Actor award for Padmaavat.
