Even as co-producers JA Entertainment and KriArj Entertainment remain at loggerheads, John Abraham released the teaser of his upcoming release, Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran.
Also starring Diana Penty and Boman Irani, Parmanu is about India’s journey to becoming a nuclear power. It is director Abhishek Sharma’s take on the experimental nuclear explosions conducted by the Indian army on Pokhran. While the premise of the film is based on true events, the characters are fictitious. Catch the teaser here:
Parmanu, which was earlier set to clash at the box-office with Pari, will now release on 4 May. Director Abhishek Sharma is happy as the movie's release now coincides with the same month as the Pokhran tests held 20 years ago.
JA Entertainment terminated its agreement with KriArj Entertainment after claiming that the latter committed "material breaches". They cited that delay in payments/non-payments have caused delays in the post-production work after the film's principal shoot was completed on time and on schedule last year.
