Director Ashwini Iyer Tiwari shared the first look of her upcoming movie Panga starring Kangana Ranaut, who will be playing the role of a kabaddi player.
Stating that the movie is set to release in January 2020, the picture posted by Ashwini shows Kangana with her co-star from the film, Jassie Gill, sharing a hearty laugh, as the duo watch the sunset together.
The picture shows Kangana donning a traditional look - a cardigan over a salwar kameez and Jassie sporting a half-cut cardigan over his shirt.
Sharing the picture on her Instagram, Ashwini captioned it as:
“When notes of a story start coming together and translates into a human expression. Panga releases on 24.01.2020.”
While this is the first reveal of the movie, which is a sports drama, Ashwini, in an interview with PTI last year, had spoken greatly of the cast.
“Kangana and I share a beautiful relationship and I have had the best time ever when I was shooting the first schedule of Panga. And the love is just going to increase. It is not just with her, it is with Richa Chadha, Neena Gupta ma’am and Jassie Gill. Pankaj Tripathi will join us in few days. It is a very different environment and we are having great time,” she had said.
