Swara Bhasker’s Open Letter to Bhansali: It’s a Padman vs Padmaavat Cold War Now?

While Swara Bhasker’s candid open letter to Sanjay Leela Bhansali on how she felt offended by his film Padmaavat went viral... there are also some theories doing rounds about how this could be yet another PadMan vs Padmaavat clash.

Apparently, the move is now being seen as favouring team PadMan who first had to contend with Padmaavat having hijacked their release date and then had to move from their announced release date of 25 January.

Sonam Kapoor plays an important role in PadMan. Insiders regard Swara as someone belonging to the “Sonam Kapoor camp” - remember how the two hit it off on and after Raanjhanaa? Swara is also an important part of Sonam’s next home production Veere Di Wedding. The cold war between Sonam and Deepika has been reported in the media before, so that’s no secret.

So was the open letter to Bhansali an indirect salvo at Deepika Padukone? We can’t say, but what we have heard is that Swara has since then also sent a letter of apology to Bhansali. But, even in her apology, the Anarkali of Aarah actor justified the points that she raised in her open letter - attagirl!

Deepika Padukone House Hunting?

Fresh off the success of Padmaavat and with all the controversies now behind her, Deepika Padukone is looking at a new start and this includes a new home. News is that the actor has been asked to vacate her plush 4 bedroom flat on the 26th floor of a 33-storey tower in Prabhadevi as it is owned by Vijay Mallya’s son Siddharth Mallya. While Deepika will bid goodbye to her 2,776 sq ft apartment, she also has a family home in Pali Hill.

Siddharth Mallya was reported to have “gifted” the Rs 16 crore Prabhadevi flat to Deepika way back in 2010, while the two were seeing each other.

Ranbir-Alia Dating?

Remember we spotted Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor coming in together for the Padmaavat screening last week? News is that two Brahmastra actors are now in a more formal relationship than they were before. A few years ago, Alia had said in an interview that her biggest crush was Ranbir Kapoor. Alia who was dating Sidharth Malhotra is now single and ready to mingle. As for Ranbir, he has been through his share of relationships, the last one being with Katrina Kaif (we have no idea what he was doing with Mahira Khan by the way). So it was only natural that the two got down to dating while finally coming together for their first film. Brahmastra certainly seems to be a very powerful weapon in the making :)
