PadMan makers have begun a period challenge to break taboos about menstruation. Bollywood celebrities have been roped in for the PadMan challenge.
Beginning with the man who brought about a revolution in rural India, A Muruganantham, it was Twinkle Khanna’s turn to challenge Aamir Khan, Shabana Azmi and businessman, Harsh Goenka.
Many stars have joined the challenge. Take a look:
Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Swara Bhasker, Sonam Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Ayushmann Khurrana, Aditi Rao Hydari, Arjun Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Akshay Kumar, Radhika Apte, and Sophie Choudhary all posed with a pad in their hand.

With the PadMan challenge, the makers hope to bust myths and taboos surrounding periods.
Alia too took up the challenge. “Just hanging around in the gym.. with a pad :) no biggie! Thank you @akshaykumar for the challenge.. ,” she wrote.
After its clash with Padmaavat on the 26 January weekend, the makers of PadMan pushed the release of their film to 9 February.
