Didn’t Connect With Paresh Rawal & Manisha: Namrata Dutt on Sanju

Namrata Dutt was not really impressed by Paresh Rawal or Manisha Koirala in ‘Sanju’.

Paresh Rawal may have been praised by critics for his portrayal of Sunil Dutt in Sanju but not everyone is impressed. Late Sunil Dutt’s daughter Namrata Dutt was unable to connect with the on-screen Sunil Dutt.

The Indian Express reports that in an interview to an entertainment website, she reacted to Rawal playing Dutt. She also commented on Manisha Koirala essaying the role of Nargis Dutt.

“I can’t see anyone portraying my father. He was special. Not that I didn’t like him. I didn’t connect, but I’m not the audience. I’m Sunil Dutt’s daughter. Manisha was okay too. Being Sunil Dutt and Nargis’ daughter, it’s difficult to make judgments. If the audience connected with them, it’s great!”

The Rajkumar Hirani film starring Ranbir Kapoor also features Vicky Kaushal, Dia Mirza, Sonam Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. The film is a massive hit and is nearing the Rs 300 cr mark.
