Neena Gupta Joins Akshay in 'Sooryavanshi'

Badhaai Ho actor Neena Gupta has been brought on board for Rohit Shetty’s cop film Sooryavanshi. The drama stars Akshay Kumar as an ATS chief and Katrina Kaif as his love interest. It has been backed by Reliance Entertainment, Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Hope Films and releases on Eid 2020.

Amy Jackson, George Panayiotou Engaged

Actress Amy Jackson and her partner George Panayiotou are officially engaged.

The couple, who is expecting their first child together, celebrated their engagement with a party here on Sunday.

Images and videos show Amy and Panayiotou having a good time. In one of the videos, the two are seen dancing to music.

Amy shared several clips as Instagram stories and in one of them, she was heard saying: "He put a ring on it!"

The 2.0 actress also shared a photograph from the engagement revelry, and captioned it: "The most unbelievable day celebrating our engagement. Thank you to all our amazing friends and family who made it so special so much love (Yayia doing the Greek traditions for us)."

In March this year, the couple had revealed that she is expecting her first child with George. She shared a post on Instagram, and said how the couple "can't wait to meet the little one."

Ajay, Ranveer to Do Cameos in 'Sooryavanshi'

Singham star Ajay Devgn and Simmba star Ranveer Singh will do cameos in Akshay Kumar-starrer Sooryavanshi, which will expand Rohit Shetty's Bollywood "cop universe".

"And the universe expands... Our game begins," Rohit posted on social media along with a photograph in which he is seen with the three actors and co-producer Karan Johar.

Each of the actors is seen holding clapboards as the film's shooting began here on Monday.

Ajay and Ranveer will do cameos in the film, confirmed Shibasish Sarkar of Reliance Entertainment, which is presenting the entertainer.

"The audience will see Akshay as Sooryavanshi in a never-seen-before avatar," Sarkar told IANS.

The movie also stars Sara Ali Khan, and will see Neena Gupta essay Akshay's mother.

Indian Crew the Kings Wins 'World of Dance'

The Kings, a hip-hop dance crew from Mumbai, has found international glory with their victory on American reality television show "World of Dance", taking home a cash prize of $1 million.

"The Kings are officially 'World of Dance' royalty. Sending big love to our champions," read a post from the official Twitter handle of "World Of Dance".

Judges Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo and Derek Hough stood up in awe of the finale performance of the NBC show by the all-men group The Kings, which performed a high-octane sequence involving stunts in slow-motion.

The 14-member Bolly-Hop squad, involving males aged 17-27, was consistently getting ace scores during its run on the show.

Among their competitors were Canadian contemporary dancer Briar Nolet, the sister duo of Ellie and Ava, VPeepz, a hip-hop group from the Philippines, and Unity LA, a 10-person squad from Southern California.

Apurva Asrani's Directorial Debut to Star Manoj

National Award-winning film editor and screenplay writer Apurva Asrani is all set to make his solo directorial debut, which will feature actor Manoj Bajpayee.

Making the announcement on social media, Apurva wrote: "Pleased to announce my solo directorial debut, co-produced by and starring my Satya and Aligarh star, Manoj Bajpayee.

"Our script traces the emotional journey of a forgotten genius who is slowly losing his mind. Since awareness and support for mental health issues is sharply lacking in India, we chose the 'Mental Health Awareness Month' to make the announcement."

The story of the film attempts to address the mental health issue and the film is likely to go on the floors by the end of this year.

Apurva is known for editing some of the critically acclaimed films like Shahid, Children of War, CityLights, Aligarh among others.

He bagged the National award for the film Snip! in 2001.
