13 years after Akshay Kumar left the audience in splits with his horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa, the film’s sequel is set to humour us again. This time, Kartik Aaryan dons the hat of the ghostbuster.
The first look posters of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 are out and Kartik almost looks like Akshay’s doppelganger, from the attire and expressions. Take a look:
Captioning the poster, Kartik wrote, “Ghostbuster is all set to enter. Hare Ram Hare Ram. Hare Krishna Hare Ram.#Bhoolbhulaiyaa2.” The film is set to release on 31 July 2020 and will be helmed by Anees Bazmee.
Kartik Aaryan also shared a motion poster of the film.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa released in 2007 and starred Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan in lead roles. It was directed by Priyadarshan, and starred Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Shiney Ahuja and Ameesha Patel in supporting roles. Bhool Bhulaiyaa was an official remake of Rajinikanth’s 2005 film Chandramukhi. Vidya Balan and Shiney Ahuja play a couple who decide to stay in their ancestral home despite being warned of ghosts on the premises. Supernatural occurrences force him to call on the help of his friend, a psychiatrist, played by Akshay.
Kartik has a number of films in his kitty, right from Pati, Patni Aur Woh to the recently announced Dostana 2, opposite Janhvi Kapoor. He and Sara Ali Khan have just wrapped up the shoot of their untitled film, directed by Imtiaz Ali.
