The Queen of Bollywood, Kangana Ranaut, is ready for her next big release and this time the actor plays Simran under Hansal Mehta’s direction.
After Anushka Sharma’s Sejal act in Jab Harry Met Sejal, movie-goers will now see Kangana in a Gujarati avatar in Simran with an accent to boot.

At the trailer launch on Monday night, Kangana touched upon the controversy over the writing credits of Simran with writer and editor Apurva Asrani:
There are no dues pending . Somehow it has been made to look like Apurva hasn’t been given his due, whereas we have done what he has asked for. I mean, he’s the one who suggested I take additional credits for dialogues. All the documents and contracts were signed too. Post that he and I also worked for a schedule together, he came to my house too. And after many months, he decided to write this note when Rangoon flopped and 2-3 people attacked me, which I thought was in a very bad taste. It was planned and extremely deliberate. If there is anything we can do in this matter we would love to, but there is nothing we can do. He’s got all the credits he wanted and this is where we stand today.Kangana Ranaut
Kangana also promised a lot of fun and adventure to her audience in Simran. The film is inspired by the life and crimes of Sandeep Kaur also known as the ‘Bombshell Bandit’, who was convicted of robbing four banks in the US.
Simran is scheduled to release in theatres on the 15 September.
