The weekends seems to be going well for the Varun Dhawan starrer Judwaa 2. With the long weekend combining Dusherra and Gandhi Jayanti, Judwaa 2’s box-office collections have seen a significant hike. The film has managed to rake in Rs 50 crore till Sunday, and is expected to continue to grow with the extended weekend today (2 October).
According to trade analyst, Taran Adarsh the film saw an exponential hike on Sunday, and collected Rs 22.60 crore. This is also the third time a Varun Dhawan film has made more than Rs 20 crore on a single day.
These numbers put Judwaa 2 (starring Varun Dhawan, Taapsee Pannu, and Jacqueline Fernandez) in the running for the third highest weekend for a Bollywood film in 2017. And if trade pundits are to be believed, the film is only expected to mint more at the box-office.
