A day after launching the first poster, the makers of Jai Mummy Di have released the official trailer. The film stars Sunny Singh, Sonnalli Seygall, Poonam Dhillon and Supriya Pathak in prominent roles and it recounts the struggles of two lovers who are caught between their fighting mothers.

The clip starts with Poonam and Supriya quarreling over wearing the identical salwar-kurta to a wedding. Taunts are made as to who ‘copied’ the design. If it couldn’t get more predictable, one has a son and the other a daughter. They fall in love and now the challenge before the duo is to get the arch-rivals to patch up. Supriya and Poonam and both terrific actors, so it remains to be seen how they tackle in what seems to be another cliche comedy.
Jai Mummy Di is written and directed by Navjot Gulati. It is presented by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, and produced by Luv Films’ Ranjan and Ankur Garg. The film is slated to hit theatres on 17 January, 2020. Sunny and Sonnalli have previously shared screen space in Luv Ranjan’s Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2.
