Priyanka Chopra fans have a reason to cheer, as the actor has joined the superhero bandwagon with signing a Netflix sci-fi fantasy, titled We Can Be Heroes. The kid superhero feature will be written and directed by Spy Kids director Robert Rodriguez.

Along with Priyanka, the cast includes Christian Slater, Pedro Pascal, Boyd Holbrook and Sung Kang. Not much has been revealed about the project, but it will see alien invaders kidnap Earth’s superheroes, as their children will team up to save their parents and the world.

2. ‘Bard of Blood’ Trailer: Emraan Hashmi Embarks on a Deadly Mission

After a series of cryptic videos featuring Shah Rukh Khan teasing their upcoming Indian original web series, Netflix has finally released the trailer for Bard of Blood.The spy thriller is based on the book of the same name by Bilal Siddiqi and features Emraan Hashmi, Shobita Dhulipala, Vineet Kumar Singh and Jaideep Alhawat in lead roles.

3. New Motion Poster of the Zoya Factor Shows Sonam in a Cool Avatar

As we are eagerly waiting for The Zoya Factor, a motion poster of the film has been dropped. Sonam Kapoor is introduced in a cool devi avatar, decked out in a bright saree, with sneakers, a cricket bat and helmet in hand. Sonam shared this on her Instagram handle.

She wrote, “Who needs Nimbu Mirchi, when you have Zoya Solanki! India’s lucky charm is here to turn tables around for you.”

4. Akshay Kumar Among Top 5 Highest Paid Actors in the World: Forbes

With an earning of $65 million, Akshay Kumar has beaten Hollywood biggies like Bradley Cooper, Chris Evans and Will Smith to secure fourth place in Forbes' annual list of world's highest paid actors. Actor and former WWE wrestler Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson tops the list having earned $89.4 million over the last 12 months. Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr follow with earnings of $76.4 million and 66 million, respectively. All earnings of the actors were calculated between the period of June 1, 2018, and June 1, 2019.

According to Forbes, Akshay reportedly commands between $5 million (Rs 34 crore) and $10 million (Rs 68 crore) per film and also has endorsement deals with about 20 brands, including Tata and Harpic. The actor is currently enjoying the success of his latest film Mission Mangal, which released on 15 August and crossed Rs 100 crores at the Indian box office in five days.

5. Priyanka’s Views on Kashmir Are of An Indian: Javed Akhtar

After a clip of Priyanka Chopra responding to a Pakistani fan at an event went viral on Twitter, the Bollywood actor received much flak and, letters to the UN as well. However, Priyanka has found supporters in Javed Akhtar and Kangana Ranaut who recently came out in defence of the Dil Dadhakne Do actor.

"If her comments have upset the Pakistani establishment, they can do whatever they wish," Javed Akhtar told reporters at an event in Kolkata.
