Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have been the flavour of the year ever since their wedding in mid-November. The couple tied the knot in two private ceremonies at Lake Como, Italy, surrounded by family and close friends.
While the couple announced their intentions to seal the deal via social media in late October, Deepika recently revealed to Filmfare that she and Ranveer had got engaged four years ago. She said,
When I look back, six months into it I was pretty much emotionally invested in us. After that it was when do we get married? I was never unsure about him.Deepika Padukone on marrying Ranveer Singh
The two began dating after meeting on the sets of Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela in 2012.
Deepika mentioned that though they went through ups and downs over their six-year long relationship, there was never a point when they were close to calling it quits. They kept their engagement a close secret, only choosing to reveal it to their parents and siblings.
