Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam’s Kaabil released at the Chinese box office on 5 June, 2019. Unfortunately, it has had a rough start at the box office. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh observed that Kaabil had a “shockingly low start” in China. According to him, Kaabil earned a total of Rs. 9.09 crores in the first two days of its release.
Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter:
“ #Kaabil has a shockingly low start in #China... Needs to score big numbers [from Fri to Sun] for a satisfactory *extended* weekend total... Wed $ 0.48 mn, Thu $ 0.66 mn. Total: $ 1.31 million [₹ 9.09 cr]. Includes previews held earlier.”
Previously, Taran Adarsh had shared a Chinese poster of the film.
Ahead of the film release, Hrithik and Yami were in China for promotions.
Hrithik Roshan shared a selfie upon his arrival in Beijing, China. In the photo he is holding a different poster of Kaabil.
Here’s what he wrote on Instagram: “He’s probably wondering why I’m so happy 😃. KAABIL in CHINA. .Ground zero. ( as you can tell ). Just landed in Beijing. Feels like the start all over again. Thank you to all my fans in india and China and everywhere else for making this incredible experience happen ! Love you all so much ! .And congratulations team KAABIL !! Xièxiè nǐ de ài CHINA!”
Yami Gautam was also spotted at the airport taking selfies with her fans.
While in China, Hrithik Roshan also met Jackie Chan. On Saturday, the Bang Bang actor shared a photograph of him and martial artist Jackie Chan.
“Meeting Jackie Chan was a revelation at so many levels. Incredible experience. Inspired,” he wrote as the caption of the photos.
Hrithik shared three photos with Jackie Chan. While all three are incredibly cute, it’s the third one that is the most adorable of them all. In the third photo, Hrithik and Jackie Chan are holding panda soft toys.
