Ayushmann-Starrer ‘Badhaai Ho’ Gets Second Installment
‘Badhaai Ho’ recently bagged a National Award.
One of of 2018’s unexpected hits, Badhaai Ho, is all set to get a second installment. Badhaai Ho stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanya Malhotra, Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta. Now, the second installment will reportedly be titled Badhaai Ho 2. As far as the plot is concerned, not much has been revealed. Even though the script has successfully been finalised. Although, the filmmakers have guaranteed that Badhaai Ho 2 will be a lighthearted entertainer just like Badhaai Ho.
Casting for the film is still underway.
On Friday, the 66th National Film Awards were announced. ‘Badhaai Ho’ was awarded the National Award for Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
“The script has been locked, and the makers are on the lookout to finalise on the cast,” said a source to Mumbai Mirror which reported this news.

He thanked the cast and crew of the film and later shared a photograph from the event. Also clicking a selfie with Alia Bhatt, he wrote, “ It was an amazing acceptance speech by Alia Bhatt today at the #reelawards2019 after winning best actress trophy for #Raazi... and thank you jury for selecting me for the best actor award.”
Badhaai Ho follows the story of a middle-aged couple who get pregnant, unexpectedly. The film is a hilarious take on how society considers the idea of pregnancy and sexual intercourse to be a taboo, especially depending on a person’s age and life cycle.
