Since joining Instagram recently, Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerji has been sharing snippets from the making of the film. His latest post is a throwback to 2016 when the cast and crew had first started work on the movie.
“The brief was simple... Ranbir and Alia needed to work as one unit and that relationship was more important than their individual characters because at its heart, our movie is... a love story... There has been a lot of love since then. After all, love is Brahmastra’s guiding light,” he wrote in a note accompanying a picture of himself with Ranbir and Alia at a VFX studio in London.
He also shared a photo of Alia from the sets of the film. He recalled meeting her when she was 18 years old after which “she bombed her way into my life and my movies and my soul”.
Brahmastra is a fantasy adventure film directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. It stars Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan and releases on 25 December 2019.
