Rohit Shetty films are known to be incomplete without action-packed adventures and SUVs blowing up in air. His next film in the ‘cop universe’, Sooryavanshi, starring Akshay Kumar too promises nothing less than ‘unadulterated action’.
Akshay, who plays ATS chief Veer Sooryavanshi in the film, shared a video on Monday giving a glimpse of the action sequences we’ll be witnessing in the film. From what it looks like, the film is set to be one of the biggest action flicks of 2020. Captioning the video, Akshay wrote, “From the day acting became my destiny, action has been my lifeline. Pure, unadulterated action in #Sooryavanshi will tell you’ll why it still fires up my core.”
The video shows making of the action and behind the scenes of all the planning and production required to carry off the large scale sequences. We see Rohit Shetty choreographing the brilliant action sequences and Akshay performing the same effortlessly. Without using a body double, the actor can be seen standing on a moving bike and climbing onto a helicopter flying above. That’s some dedication!
The video says, “After Singham and Simmba, the cop universe expands. Gearing up for 2020.”
Producer Karan Johar also shared the same video, calling it the "tip of the iceberg." He wrote, "Behind the scenes of India's very own cinematic universe. Oh... and trust me, this is just the tip of the iceberg. That's what happens when #RohitShetty and @akshaykumar get together."
Recently, the release date of Sooryavanshi was preponed to avoid a clash with Salman Khan’s Inshallah on Eid 2020. Salman announced on Twitter on 12 June that Sooryavanshi will now release on 27 March 2020.
