Ranveer Singh-Sara Ali Khan-starrer Simmba hits theatres on 28 December. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film follows the tale of Sangram Bhalerao, a corrupt policeman who has a change of heart, and is based on Telugu film Temper.
While Ranveer and Sara take centre stage, the film will also see a few cameos from stars of other Rohit Shetty titles. Reportedly, Akshay Kumar will make a quick appearance, which will also reveal the character he plays in the director’s upcoming film.
As the trailer suggests, Ajay Devgn will have a cameo in Simmba, reprising his role of Bajirao Singham from Shetty’s popular Singham franchise. The song sequence for ‘Aankh Marey’ with Sara and Ranveer also features appearances by Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu and Shreyas Talpade, all cast members from the director’s comedy franchise Golmaal. According to DNA, this appearance is a hint at a fifth instalment of the film series.
