To Kangana, With Law: Pancholi to File Dual Defamation Suit?

Aditya Pancholi and wife Zarina Wahab say they are deeply hurt by the ‘Simran’ actor’s allegations.

It’s raining lawsuits for Kangana Ranaut. After Hrithik Roshan, Aditya Pancholi and his wife Zarina Wahab are gearing up to slam a double defamation suit against the Simran star.

Pancholi and Wahab had sent a legal notice to Kangana a few days back asking her to apologise unconditionally for her comments against them during Simran promotions. But they are not happy with her lawyer’s reply and are now ready to take the next legal step.

The defamation notice received by the Advocate representing Mr. Aditya Pancholi and Ms. Zarina Wahab have been duly replied to. My client who has been a victim of crime has largely spoken about her personal experiences, which were already reported on various media platforms since the year 2007. Besides the laws of the land do not give any added advantage to any male person to silence any (victim) woman under the threat of filing defamation proceedings against her.

For the uninitiated, Kangana shared some disturbing details of her relationship with Aditya Pancholi during the promotion of Simran. She talked about being abused and put under house arrest by him. She said that she even approached his wife Zarina for help but received none from those quarters.

Pancholi and Wahab however, are deeply offended by the allegations. Pancholi told Times of India:

The legal team sent Kangana and her sister Rangoli notices, but their response wasn’t up to the mark. We asked them to apologise unconditionally on the same national platforms where Kangana made those derogatory remarks against me. Eventually, her sister and she dragged even my son, daughter and wife into all this. That’s the reason Zarina and I decided to file a defamation case against her, which is both civil and criminal.

Pancholi said he felt deeply hurt by Kangana’s allegations, and it has got nothing to do with Hrithik Roshan’s allegations against her. Hrithik, he says, can handle his own problems.

Kangana has no right to talk about my family and me in such a manner. Why should I shut up? If I don’t fight for my family, who will?

Things are getting murkier by the day, isn’t it?
