Irrfan and his wife (played by Saba Qamar) are on a mission to get their daughter into the best English medium school. An interesting satire on how our society passes judgement on anyone who doesn’t speak English.
Secret Superstar
Secret Superstar revolves around a young girl who wants to follow her dream of being a singer, despite her father being dead against it. The burkha clad 14-year-old girl making her dreams come true via YouTube struck a chord with the younger generation. A plus is Aamir Khan’s cameo.
Toilet: Ek Prem Katha
The Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Toilet Ek Prem Katha is a rare take on love which has a larger message. If the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, this film says that you can win a woman’s heart by building a toilet in your house.
