This is the thing about Bollywood. Once you have a hit on your hands, you rehash it till you convince yourself and the rest of the world that you are capable of nothing more. One instance is the Bhatts’ horror franchise. A few of the innumerable flicks in that genre struck gold at box office. And now we would be beseiged by reincarnations of the well-meaning leading men, mysterious leading women and screeching spirits till the cows come home.
Check out the 1921 trailer - the fourth film in the 1920 franchise - if you don’t believe me. The horror film directed by Vikram Bhatt stars Zarine Khan and Karan Kundra, and a lot of jaded ghosts who look straight out of innumerable Hollywood horror flicks.
The poor ghosts clearly look like they would have preferred oblivion.
1921 is all set to release on 12 January.
