Salman Khan’s new favourite, Harshaali Malhotra, the girl who played ‘Munni’ in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, will no longer be a part of ‘Bhaijaan’s’ next film – Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
Harshaali was, reportedly, supposed to play a small role in the film, however, in an interview with DNA, her mother revealed that it would not be ideal for Harshaali to do such roles after being part of such an iconic film.
Actually, Harshaali was there in the film. But it was a very small role. We had even done the photo-shoot for the film. She was one of those kids who would have played the childhood role. But after doing such a pivotal role in one of the biggest films, it would not be right for her to do such short roles. I won’t approve such minute roles anymore.

No Small Roles Unless it is Impactful
Harshaali’s mother further added that they had spoken to Salman about the matter and he too agreed that she should not be doing a role as small as the one in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Consequently, they have chosen a different child actor to do the role.
I directly spoke to Salman and he was gracious enough to understand our point. We had not even started shooting. She was signed for that role much before Bajrangi Bhaijaan happened. Now that the film has released, even Salman feels that she should not do such a small role which will hardly make any impact. They have chosen some other kid to do the role in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.

Despite pulling out on this one, her mother emphasises that Harshaali will still do small appearances as long as the role is impactful and the film is of a big banner. But not roles like some actress’s childhood character because she is now a star of her own.
