The teaser trailer of Ashim Ahluwalia’s Daddy looks compelling. Arjun Rampal plays the lead role as Arun Gulab Gawli, fondly known as Daddy.
Rampal looks intensely dangerous in the opening interrogation scene, where he’s being questioned by a policeman about various crimes and murders. He’s dressed in a white kurta pyjama and dons a Gandhi cap. One can’t ignore how much he resembles Arun T Gawli, the real life gangster-turned-politician. The actor recently said that he doesn’t intend to portray the man as a hero.
