What Does Anushka & Virat’s Mumbai Reception Card Say About Them?

The motifs in the wedding card reveal the theme that binds all their events.

Actor, Anushka Sharma and cricketer, Virat Kohli tied the knot on December 11 and their fans have been hankering after every piece of information about the celebrity couple. While they are blissfully honeymooning in Santa Claus’ town in Finland, a picture of their wedding reception in Mumbai just surfaced.

Devika Narain divulged some information on the return gifts and said that an anthology of Rumi’s poems were given to the wedding guests in Italy.

“Anushka and Virat are extremely spiritual people, I don’t know how many people know this about them. She wanted everything to be about growth and prosperity, so the whole wedding was in fact inspired by the idea of an overgrown garden. They are big fans of Rumi and his poetry, so an anthology of his poems was given as a take back present for all the guests,”

Devika confirmed that the ideas of growth and prosperity governed the theme of their wedding events. The new wedding invite strewn with the motif of leaves seems to fall in line with this inspiration. Their earlier environment-friendly invite carried a sapling.

The Mumbai reception will be held at St. Regis, Lower Parel on 26 December.
