Akshay Kumar’s next film Airlift directed by Raja Krishna Menon is based on the biggest evacuation of Indians based in Kuwait during the Gulf War. Akshay who is eagerly waiting for the release revealed more details in a report published by The New Indian Express:
Rather than making it into an epic war film, we wanted to provide the public with the facts about what the Indian civilians in Kuwait went through during the Iraqi War when they had nothing to do with the conflict. This isn’t about trying to create an over-exaggerated war zone to blow people’s minds visually. Airlift is about the ‘Story’ that was never told to us; it’s about the saviour through bad times.
The film stars Nimrat Kaur opposite Akshay and releases on 22nd January 2016. For the full interview log on to newindianexpress.com
