It seems Akshay Kumar has had enough of biopics for the moment. After R Balki’s PadMan and Reema Kagti’s Gold, in both of which he plays ennobled real-life characters, Akshay will take a break from real-life characters.

He has just turned down a film based on the life of Verghese Kurien, the man who initiated the largest dairy development organisation in the world.

Contrary to popular perception, the Bhaijaan of Bollywood doesn’t always gets away with everything. The “Ek baar jo maine commitment ka di, uske baad to main khud ki bhi nahin sunta” dude had to face bitter rejection when the owner of a horse, Siraj Pathan, declined Salman Khan’s monumental offer of Rs 2 crore for a rare-breed horse, Saqab.

Pathan bought the horse when it was a five-year-old at Rs 14.5 lac in Rajasthan’s Palotara Fair.

If you thought that lavishly paid actors, musicians and directors were the only recipients of the prestigious Oscar awards, you will be surprised to know that there is an Oscar award for techies and engineers as well!

Mumbai-born engineer Vikas Sathaye is part of a team that won the scientific and engineering award at the 2018 Oscars Scientific and Technical Awards. They bagged the accolade for the concept, design, engineering and implementation of the Shotover K1 camera system. Brad Hurndell, John Coyle and Shane Buckham were other members of the team.

4. Dhanush’s ‘Fakir’ Promises to Be a Fun If Cliched Adventure

Dhanush is ready to make his international debut with The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir. The southern superstar took to social media to share the teaser poster of the film directed by Ken Scott and co-starring Berenice Bejo and Gerard Jugnot.

Based on Romain Puertolas’s novel, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir Who Got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe, the English-French comedy revolves around the adventures of Ajatashatru Oghash Rathod, a 38-year-old fakir who hoodwinks his way through a world of adventures.
