Salman Khan has been sharing glimpses of his brother Sohail Khan’s upcoming directorial venture starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Arbaaz Khan, titled Freaky Ali. After his wrestling drama Sultan, this Salman Khan production is based on the story of a golfer. Looks like the superstar has suddenly developed a keen interest in sports films.

Freaky Ali is all set to hit theatres on 9 September, another Eid release. Salman tweeted the film’s first look with this message-

The freak Nawaz, poor man in the rich man’s sport, who became the game changer. Freaky Ali.

Sohail Khan is not new to directing. He made his directorial debut with the action thriller Auzaar (1997), starring Salman of course. He also directed both his brothers in the 1998 hit Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kya. Jai Ho (2014) was his most recent offering.

As is clear from Salman’s tweet, Freaky Ali seems to be the story of a not so suave man making it big in the golf course, a turf where only the rich and famous hob nob over sport. Nawaz is an interesting choice as the lead and we can’t wait to know more about this humble story. We’re curous though, is Arbaaz playing Nawaz’ caddy?
