Children’s films are a rarity in Tamil cinema. It won’t be unrealistic to say that Indian cinema itself is not producing many films for children and the industry only concentrates on commercial mass entertainers to rake in the moolah.

Just like how Aamir Khan spread awareness on dyslexia through Taare Zameen Par, Suriya has now produced Pasanga 2, which deals with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) among kids.

Here are 5 reasons you must watch Pasanga 2 in cinemas:

Suriya ‘s Unique Character

Suriya plays an educational activist called Tamizh Naadan in Pasanga 2. The actor has said that he characterization will be on the lines of Robin Williams and Charlie Chaplin. Back home, the actor has tried something like legendary comedian Nagesh, who is also known for his emotional performances.

Filmmaker Pandiraj’s Touch

Director Pandiraj has become an expert in portraying a kid’s world with maximum degree of authenticity on the big screen. Not to forget the fact that Pandiraj has won a National Award for his debut film, Pasanga, which dealt with problems faced by children rural India.

ADHD Awareness

Many of us don’t know that ADHD or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a common childhood disorder, which can continue into adolescence. Children affected by ADHD are known to show poor concentration, difficulty in learning and hyperactivity. Many times parents do not recognize or realise that their child is suffering from ADHD. Through Pasanga 2, people might get to know more about the disorder, and according to Suriya the issue has been addressed in a lighter note.

Heavy Philosophy in Simple Dialogues

When we interacted with Suriya, he said that the dialogues in Pasanga 2 will be super strong and will be used to convey some heavy philosophies without being preachy. The actor cited a few examples from the film, which roughly translates into: ‘A seventy kilogram object beating seven-year-old is a crime’ and ‘More than good marks, good thoughts are important’.

It’s a Film for Parents, Teachers and Kids

Suriya has also said that Pasanga 2 is for everyone in the society. Teachers have to get to know about the mindset of current generation of kids, parents should know what their children want and kids too should know the pain of their parents.

Team Pasanga 2 is confident with the film and they are super delighted with the output. The film releases in more than 300 screens across the globe on Friday.
