Did you know that Kalyanji-Anandji inspired the Grammy nominated song Don’t Phunk With My Heart by The Black Eyed Peas?
The duo’s music from songs in Don (‘Ye Mera Dil’) and Apradh (‘Ae Naujavan’) had been incorporated by The Black Eyed Peas in their number Don’t Phunk With My Heart. They become the first Indian musicians to be awarded by the Broadcasting Media Inc (BMI), a body associated with copyrights in the US.

The Duo Convinced Kishore Kumar to Do Live Performances

Music directors Kalyanji-Anandji are the reason behind the legendary singer Kishore Kumar’s live-wire and highly entertaining stage performances. Believe it or not Kishore da was always terrified of facing a live audience and so suffered from stage fright. It was only after Kalyanji and Anandji repeatedly persuaded him that the singer finally agreed to make an appearance in front of a live audience and perform at stage shows.
