International drug baron Vicky Goswami, who also happens to be yesteryear actress Mamata Kulkarni’s husband, was arrested by the United States (US) Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) from Kenya on Sunday. Ibrahim and Baktash Akasha, sons of a slain drug baron, and Gulam Hussein, a Pakistani national, were also arrested by the DEA officials and all four were brought to the US where they are wanted for drug trafficking.
According to a report by India Today, Goswami and Kulkarni are both wanted in a drug haul case by Thane Police, who are now trying to get Goswami back to India to strengthen their case.

Vicky Goswami, the son of a police officer from Gujarat, began his criminal career as a bootlegger in the 80s. Over the last two decades, he has expanded his network to Dubai and Africa. In India, he was recently linked and is wanted for a case related to the massive seizure of raw materials for methamphetamine from a Solapur pharma unit.
