After all the drama over boycotting Pakistani actors, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) finally gave a green signal for the release of Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil on 22 October. But the Cinema Owners Exhibitors Association of India (COEAI) stood by their decision of not playing the movie on single screens.

However, reports suggest that the increasing demand for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil tickets has compelled the single screens owners to start advance bookings of the controversial film. According to MidDay, single screen owners are now not ready to bear losses since the MNS too has already given a go ahead to Johar’s film.

We have given two shows to the film. Most of the single screens have started their advance booking so why should I suffer losses? The state government, along with Karan Johar and the MNS, had taken the decision to allow the film’s screening.

Now, with the increasing number of bad reviews pouring in for Shivaay, there will be more reason for single screen owners in Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat and Karnataka to begin shows of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
