Fawad Khan Returns to Pakistan From India After Protests

According to reports, Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has secretly returned home from India after protests by groups like the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). It is believed that the actor left Mumbai amid threats by right wing groups following the attack on Indian troops in Uri.

Fawad is a part of filmmaker Karan Johar’s upcoming big Diwali release Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which releases in October end. Karan had earlier said that the Pakistani actor won’t be a part of his film’s promotions because Fawad was expecting his second child and wanted to be with his wife during the time.

On Friday, Raj Thackeray’s MNS had given a 48-hour deadline to all Pakistani artistes in India to leave the country by 25 September. The group also threatened to boycott Karan Johar’s film upon release.
