Modern-Day Draupadi Lifting Weights, Seducing Men? Hell Yeah!

“That’s Kunti, my mom”, is how modern day Lord Arjuna introduces his mother, played by actress Neena Gupta to his newly-wed wife Draupadi, played by Aditi Rao Hydari after defeating “every eligible bachelor in the land”.

And this is just the starting of 16 hilarious minutes of Akshat Verma’s short film Mama’s Boys also starring Amol Parashar (the DJ from tripling), Jim Sarbh (the super attractive terrorist from Neerja), Arunoday Singh and Vivaan Shah.

After seeing numerous interpretations of Mahabharata on the small screen, whether it’s the gold-laden Bheem and Draupadi lifting weights in their dhotis or Draupadi discussing boy issues while shopping for lingerie with her girlfriends, the film is a perfect interpretation of what might have happened if Draupadi was to marry five men in today’s day and age.
