“I Remember Raj Kapoor As A Loving Fat Grandfather”
I was six when he passed away. He showered extra love towards me as I was his first grandson. He would call all of us in his room, make us stand in a line and say, ‘salaam karo.’ We would do salaam to him and then we would have to kiss him on either of his cheeks to get those caramel toffees he used to get from abroad for all of us. Whatever I am today is because of his films. I think I know him more now through his films than as his grand son. “I Have To Go Back To Being A Nobody”
I am going through a little bit of a metamorphosis right now. I am trying to understand where I am at life. Sometimes I feel I am stuck between ‘what if’ and ‘F*** it’. But it is a good time to not get bitter about things. I have nothing to be bitter about. I know my films are not working.
