“I am Alex Parrish and protecting our country had always been my dream” – our Quantico journey started with this epic line by Priyanka Chopra and things have now come full circle. The season finale is here, Episode 22 appropriately named YES, and yes, it is perfect!

The episode starts off brilliantly with a Peter Gabriel’s song Digging in the Dirt and a montage showing how Liam carefully planned his sinister moves and got the unsuspecting NAT’s embroiled in his malicious designs. Also great is how the action shifts back to Quantico where it all started.

The parallel drawn between the NAT’s graduating in the flashback to the present day scenario is also super interesting. The only thing that I personally felt bad about was how the story ends for one of my favorite agents. But never mind, overall the pace, energy and intensity make for a delectable watch!

Spoilers ahead! (If it hurts your religious sentiments skip this part!)

Liam is the terrorist and now that Alex and team know about it, everyone descends on Quantico. We find that Ryan and Miranda are held hostage while the bomb remains to be defused. Things do get resolved, but not before Simon dies a heroic but tragic death. He dives into a nearby lake as the bomb goes off! A pity how one of the most endearing couples in Quantico, Simon and Raina, couldn’t have a happy ending together.

But it’s the end of the season and the writers are busy tying up all the loose ends into cute little bows. Alex, even though isn’t back with the FBI, has reconciled with Ryan. Miranda gets her much deserved promotion, and Will too seems to have satisfactorily survived the after-effects of radiation.

The best part, however, is how it all ends – one piece of the puzzle still doesn’t fit. Senator Haas is apparently not on any medication... why, then, would Liam get her pills switched? Also, Alex gets a job offer from the CIA… will she say yes? Well, this brings me to my final verdict!

Episode 22 is everything that Quantico fans had hoped it would be. No doubt some of the previous instalments left us frustrated as nothing substantial was happening, but the finale changes all that. Also, the tantalising twist right at the end which points to a Season 2 ensures we can’t wait for the next episode. Dekho definitely. You won’t regret it!
