EC Sends Show Cause Notice to Sidhu for Remarks Against PM Modi

The Election Commission has given Sidhu a day to reply to the show cause notice.

The Election Commission Friday issued a fresh show cause notice to Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu for prima facie violating the model code of conduct by making alleged disparaging remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, PTI reported.

The Election Commission has decided to provide an opportunity to Sidhu to submit his explanation within 24 hours, failing which the poll body will take a decision without further reference to him, reported ANI.
