Launching an attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi likened him to 'Duryodhana', on Tuesday, 7 May.Priyanka went on to say that the character from the Mahabharata had “the same kind of arrogance” which “caused the downfall of Duryodhan.”This comes days after Modi referred to Priyanka's father and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi as "Bhrashtachari No 1".‘The country has never forgiven arrogance. Duryodhana had similar arrogance. When Lord Krishna tried to make him understand, he tried to capture him instead,’ said Priyanka Gandhi, at an election rally in Haryana’s Ambala.She went on to quote poet Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, saying, “When someone is about to be destroyed, their wisdom ends first.”According to The Indian Express, Priyanka, who is in charge of Eastern Uttar Pradesh, added that the BJP leaders, in their poll campaign, have never said whether they will fulfil their promises.
